Come spend a delightful evening on Saturday, August 1, at 7:00 pm, ET, in the Rebecca Johnson Theatre listening to tall tales, folklore & legends with musicians Mike and Betty Roe who have been traveling and telling stories for 16 years!

The Edu-Tellers, Betty and Mike Roe, perform storytelling concerts and conduct storytelling workshops for schools, libraries, professional organizations, social groups, senior facilities, churches, festivals, and private parties. They tell all kinds of stories—from folktales to true stories from history, both individually and in tandem,  often including music in their programs. Betty and Mike have performed at the International Reading Association (IRA) Annual Conventions, the SE Regional IRA Conferences, the Tennessee Reading Association Conferences, the Tennessee Mountain Writers Conferences, and the Christian Storytellers Conferences, as well as several Cumberland Mountain Storytelling Festivals, Homestead Apple Festivals, and Standing Stone Storytelling Festivals.

They have performed across the U.S. and in Canada. Betty taught storytelling courses at Tennessee Tech University for many years.  She is co-author of a book called Teaching Through Stories:  Yours, Mine, and Theirs. Betty and Mike have both published articles on storytelling. They are founders and past presidents of the Cumberland Mountain Storytelling Guild.
