Thank-you for making 2013 such a great year for us! Click on the link below for the new jam packed schedule full of exciting events we have planned for the upcoming year!
Early Spring brings two brand new events-on March 15 we will introduce the Hidden Trails, Hike Rugby brochure and on April 12 there is a new interpretive program called “Entertainment at Commissary Hall”.
Events introduced last year that were well received such as the Antique Street Fair and Appalachian Heritage Day are back, as well as events that have become popular over the last couple of years including both car shows-the Antique Car Show and the British Motorcar Show and the fabulous Lantern Tour which showcases modern Rugbeans’ acting skills as they play the parts of historic characters from Rugby’s rich past.
The 2014 Appalachian Writers’ Series is nows in it’s third year of bringing important regional authors to the Rebecca Johnson Theatre where they discuss their writing and have book signings. This year there will be two writing workshops offered by best-selling author, Vikki Lane. These workshops begin on Friday and last through Sunday.
For those of you who are longtime fans of our signature events, we will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Spring Music and Arts Festival (also known as the Festival of British and Appalachian Culture), and hosting our ever popular holiday events: Ghostly Gathering, Thanksgiving Marketplace and Christmas at Rugby!
There is something for everybody at Historic Rugby this year! Mark your calendars and come celebrate another year full of entertaining events and programming with us!
