Christmas In July

Historic Rugby is hosting its third annual Christmas in July event on Saturday, July 11 from 10-5 Eastern (9-4 Central).  FREE admission. Take the time to get some early Christmas shopping out of the way while exploring a lovely Victorian village just off State Scenic Highway 52, but not forgetting social distancing. Wear a festive (but protective) mask **

Christmas is a time for giving and several local charities, non-profits, and state parks will be here to talk about the impact that they are making in the community.  Drop by the booths to learn about the Morgan-Scott Project, the Unicorn Fund, Scott County Family Justice Center, Alvin C. York State Park, Morgan County Tourism Alliance, Frozen Head State Park, and many others.

Music and entertainment will be provided by Victory Bluegrass, Jim Goad & Band, Josh McDowell, Standing Stone and Gerald Hanwright, among possible others. Music will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern (10-4 Central) in the Rebecca Johnson Theatre inside the Historic Rugby Visitor Centre (air conditioned, but seating limitations will apply for health safety).

A flea market upstairs in the Rugby Commissary and in the Rugby Community Center will benefit non-profit Historic Rugby.  Look for several other vendors selling unique Christmas gifts and demonstrating Appalachian crafts.  Food will be provided by the Harrow Road Cafe, Country Dogs and John Boy’s Barbecue.

** All guests, musicians, artists and non-profit reps are encouraged to wear protective masks, but also to make them festive for this early Christmas! Secret judges will pick a few winners. This will be good practice for December holidays!

You can do much better!
