We hope you all enjoy the following article about ‘our’ Rugby written by former Rugby School Head Master Patrick Derham who visited here with his wife, Alison, in July of last year. Many folks, including residents of our village enjoyed his presentations about Thomas Hughes’ alma mater, Rugby School in Warwickshire, England, the setting for his famous novel “Tom Brown’s School Days”.

Mr. Derham is currently the headmaster at the prestigious Westminster School in London. We wish him and his family well!

The article was published in ‘Floreat’, the Rugbeian Society Magazine. More about his trip to the U.S. is found in this link: American Friends of Rugby. The accompanying article by Colin Leinster can be found here.
