Our Biggest Social Event. Supporting Amazing Causes.

Historic Rugby’s Sixth Annual Charity Gala on November 3 supports two fantastic organizations: The Morgan-Scott Project and the village of Historic Rugby. The Gala is easily our biggest social event of the year, drawing professionals, politicians, business leaders, and other distinguished guests from throughout our region.

The Gala is important for a number of reasons.  Historic Rugby gets no state or government funds to operate our remarkable historic site, which generates jobs, tourism, and much-needed revenue for the citizens of the Cumberland Plateau. And the Morgan-Scott Project also depends on the largess of its donors to help fund all of its important projects.

The Morgan-Scott Project provides a common cooperative base for churches, agencies, and individuals to identify the problems of and provide the solutions for people in peril in Morgan and Scott Counties. Its work is vital—and reflects many of the Christian principles of sharing and working together that Historic Rugby was founded upon 135 years ago.

This year’s Gala will feature a harvest theme. It celebrates the bounty of the season—and reminds us all of how much we have to be thankful for.  The theme also encourages us to think about others, and how we can contribute to their success and well-being. The Gala features gourmet meal prepared and served by culinary and hospitality arts students., live music, and other fun. Costumes representing the Victorian Era are encouraged.

A silent auction will raise more money for the organizations, and there will be plenty of opportunities to mingle, meet, and network.

A Powerful Sponsorship Opportunity

Because the Gala receives attention throughout our region on the night of the event—and in the weeks leading up to it—it provides a tremendous sponsorship opportunity for your business. Your support of the Gala, Historic Rugby, and the Morgan-Scott Project demonstrates your commitment to our communities, and reinforces the many other things you likely do throughout the year to make where we live a better place.

This year, we are offering a number of sponsorship opportunities that provide affordable exposure and recognition for virtually any size organization. Please consider Gala Sponsorship carefully—these two important organizations need your help, and any contribution is greatly appreciated.

The organizers of this year’s Gala are also working hard to make sure that all sponsors get maximum value for their contributions. Sponsorship opportunities can include the following:

  • Inclusion of your organization in all publicity materials leading up to the event and afterward.
  • Your logo in promotional materials printed and
    distributed online.
  • Your logo in signage and displays at the Gala.
  • Recognition of your organization as a sponsor during announcements at the Gala, and individual recognition as is appropriate.
  • Reserved seats or tables for your organization and people, to provide you with a way to reward your employees or volunteers.
