The Commissary at Historic Rugby presents a Basket Making workshop with Beth Hester.




Join us for a fun day on Saturday, July 21, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST! Immerse yourself in weaving and create an easy-to-make bread basket using natural and smoked reed materials. The basket’s simplicity is accentuated by using 3 narrow weavers for braiding or plain weave. In this workshop students will learn simple plaiting, shaping, braiding and creating perfect rims.

Basket size: Students choose from 8″x8″x5″ deep (or) 7″x7″x3″ deep. For all levels.

Cost is $80 per attendee. Materials, Patterns, Instructions & Lunch are all included in workshop cost.
